Critical Infrastructure Symposium
SAME, the newly formed Resilience Committee, and selected member task forces are using 2017 to review the Critical Infrastructure Symposium and determine how it can best support members, partners and stakeholders in the future. The event will not be held in 2017 so we can assess how to structure the event for 2018 and beyond.
The Critical Infrastructure Symposium brings together leaders in government, industry and academia for a dynamic exchange of knowledge on topics including infrastructure resilience, preparedness, security, and adaption. The symposium program is developed through a Call for Papers, which engages a diversity of input and decision-makers. Starting in 2015, the Critical Infrastructure Symposium also introduced the Collegiate Infrastructure Challenge to be held in conjunction; the challenge brings together college students from participating universities for a 24-hour intense competition in which teams must conceive and develop a solution to a posed infrastructure challenge, then present it to attendees and a panel of judges.
