Society National Awards and Recognition Programs

Each year, the Society presents 35 awards to individuals and organizations from the uniformed services and the private sector to recognize their achievements in support of SAME's Strategic Plan, the engineering profession and the nation's national security objectives.

In addition, the Society recognizes its Posts (chapters) for outstanding performance. The Post Streamer Awards are presented at The Post Awards Breakfast Meeting at the annual Joint Engineer Training Conference & Expo.

The Streamer Awards are presented annually in honor of the preceding year's performance. For example, the 2008 Post Streamer Awards will be presented at the 2009 SAME Joint Engineer Training Conference & Expo.
