  • Post 60th Year Anniversary Celebration, December 10, 2008, Wednesday Night 1800-2100 hours, Fort Belvoir Officers' Club.  Join the camaraderie and also help us recognize our 50 year members and welcome our young and student members.  We will also be collecting for Toys for Tots, so please bring a new unwrapped toy.  Gus Person, Belvoir Historian, will provide a few words about LTG Raymond A.     • The January-May 2008 Postscripts, the 12-page full-color quarterly newsletter is posted online, click NEWSLETTERS in the menu.  Our Editor is Publicity Director Connie Myers, PBS&J.  Please submit articles and ideas to her for the 3rd Quarter, 2008 edition to be published in September 2008.

    • We keep growing!  17 Sustaining Members joined in 2007;  14 so far in 2008.  We are the 4th largest post of the SAME's 118 total posts.

    • Sustaining Member Recognition Day.  July 10, 2008.  Mementos of our appreciation for our 67 sustaining members and their outstanding support during this past year.  Recently posted to our PHOTO ALBUM page. PLUS 2008 golf photos are now up!

  • 2007 Post Streamer Awards. Your Post had a "clean sweep", winning all six streamer awards, including Distinguished Post for the 14th year in a row.  Also, we expanded from 50 to 67 Sustaining Members—the 17 member increase a modern post record  We will "pin on" the new "year bars" and silver stars to our many streamers during the July luncheon meeting.  Congratulations to all members and firms for these special honors and check our AWARDS page.
  • January 3, 2008 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, North Atlantic Division, Fort Belvoir BRAC presentation now posted on our RESOURCE LINKS page. Get the details on the $5.3B area construction program now started and continuing through FY2011.

  • Post 2007 Awards.  Five winners announced for outstanding contributions during 2007 at the January 3, 2008 luncheon meeting.  Sustaining members of the year Tidewater, Inc. (Small Business) and PBS&J (Large Business).  Also, young member of the year Aimee O. Alix, Turner Construction; member of the year COL Stuart G. Harrison; and Student leadership award to Jesse B. Coleman, GMU.
