Award_Sargent The Sargent Medal is named in honor of Vice Adm. Thomas R. Sargent, III, U.S. Coast Guard. The medal is presented in recognition of the most outstanding contribution to U.S. Coast Guard Civil Engineering or Facilities Engineering. The medal was first awarded in 1980.

 

Criteria: Outstanding contribution to Coast Guard Civil Engineering or Facilities Engineering.

Eligibility: Active duty Coast Guard Warrant Officer, Chief Petty Officer, or Petty Officer; or a civilian employee of equivalent grade.
