Join SAME in Okinawa for the Design-Build for DOD Practitioners continuing education course. The two-day course explains the basic principles established by the Design Build Institute of America (DBIA), and features examples of military construction projects procured under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). CEP-Okinawa will be held at the Rocker NCO Club, Kadena Air Force Base and will be hosted by the SAME Okinawa Field Chapter.

- Attendees for both sessions will be contacted the week of July 16 to allow individuals to attend the first session if we have attendees from the first session who will agree to move to the second session. We will attempt to accommodate all attendee preferences.

In this workshop Owners and Design-Build practicioners will learn how to obtain the most possible scope for Firm-Fixed-Price contracts through the use of Performance Based Design-Build Procurement and Best Value Selection. The course will focus on both new and renovation design and construction projects, and show examples of how sustainability and energy savings are being met cost effectively.
