Developing Winning Proposals: Second Place is as Good as Last

Please join the SAME DC Post and CMAA NCC Thursday, October 23rd, for an educational workshop on developing winning proposals (earn 1.5 PDHs) followed by a luncheon program to discuss the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) building and construction program.  

Richard A. Belle, IOM, CAE will share his professional “secrets” about the proposal process and how to transform a “good” proposal into a winning proposal.  Richard will discuss key strategic issues as well as basic guidelines for each core element of your proposal. His will draw from the themes he frequently explores when helping firms increase their proposal hit rate. Learn how to brand your firm, understand your client, and know your competitors.

Richard has over 30 years of experience in the communications field including 24 years focused on the AEC industry specifically.  He is president of Belle Communications, LLC and provides proposal coaching, technical writing, technical editing, communications audits and awards coaching.  He has held senior communications positions at ACEC, DBIA, and CERF. Richard is the lead author or editor of seven industry monographs and dozens of articles, ranging from A/E/C benchmarking standards to safety opportunities using design-build.
