Oklahoma City Post Stuffs the Bus with Diapers

On October 18, the Oklahoma City Post (OKC Post) held a diaper collection campaign to support the Oklahoma Chapter of Operation Homefront. Operation Homefront is a non-profit organization that assists military families and wounded warriors in need of food, auto repair, financial assistance and many other types of support. Cindy Garrett, OKC Post Awards Chairperson, led the diaper collection after learning that Operation Homefront was hosting a “Stuff the Bus” campaign in Oklahoma City. The non-profit organization requested diapers as one of the needed items. OKC Post’s appeal to its Post and Sustaining Members resulted with a donation of more than 150 diaper packages and 50 wet wipe packages within just three hours.

OKC Post’s efforts demonstrate involvement with the local community and strong support to military families and wounded warriors. Find out how you can help by checking out SAME’s Wounded Warriors Initiative.
