For the second year, SAME is offering the opportunity for eight Young Members (39 and under) to attend the 2013 Emerging Leaders Alliance (ELA) Conference taking place November 11-13 in Reston, VA). The ELA Conference is a three-day multi-disciplinary leadership training conference for select professionals in the engineering, research, and science industry, promoting the development of great leaders to guide our professions in addressing the needs of people in the 21st century. (www.emergingleadersalliance.org) Registration fees and 3 nights in the conference hotel will be covered for those who are accepted into the program and sponsored by the Academy of Fellows; other travel expenses will need to be covered by the attendee’s command or firm, or by their local Post. Advance approval is required for any airfare greater than $500.00.
