Tampa Bay Post outstanding members receive recognition
April 11, 2012- SAME Tampa Bay Post awarded members for their contributions to the Society. The Post presented JR Kozera, Business Development Manager for HSA Engineers & Scientists, the distinguished SAME Regional Vice President (RVP) Medal for his efforts in promoting the Society’s mission of developing future engineers through outreach and mentoring. He was instrumental in establishing a need-based scholarship at the University of South Florida for engineering students with an emphasis in ROTC involvement. Kozera is also actively involved in encouraging and selecting high school students to attend SAME Engineering and Construction Camps. The camps are designed for high school students who excel in math, science and technical courses and are interested in pursuing engineering in college.
In addition to the RVP Medal, the post awarded RVP coins to the following distinguished members:
- Fleet Wulf, Atkins
Wulf was recognized for his outstanding service as the Tampa Post acting Membership Chair. - Stephanie Thoresen, HDR
Thoresen was recognized for her work as Publicity Chair on the 2012 SAME Joint Engineering Training Symposium (JETS) - Jessica Hussey, PSI
Hussey was recognized for her numerous contributions to the Post including serving as Golf Chair for the 2012 JETS - Kelly Bishop, HSA Engineer & Scientists
Bishop was recognized for her leadership as Co-Chair of the 2012 JETS.
