Event DescriptionAs coastlines and riverine systems worldwide are increasingly devastated by the impacts of climate change, holistic solutions for flood risk management are more and more critical. Launched in September, the International Guidelines on Natural and Nature-Based Features for Flood Risk Management (NNBF Guide) is a product of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ (USACE) Engineering With Nature® (EWN®) Program, to enable more sustainable delivery of economic, social, and environmental benefits associated with infrastructure. The NNBF Guide is a result of 5 years of large-scale collaboration intended to provide a comprehensive framework to building flood resilience through natural and nature-based approaches. Please join us and Jeffrey King, Ph.D., P.E., Program Manager and Deputy National Lead as he introduces the USACE EWN® Program and provides an overview of the NNBF Guide.
