The Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Chesapeake Post is offering scholarships to assist college students who are pursuing careers in STEM fields: engineering, architecture, mathematics, technology, computer or related science (chemistry, biology, physics) degree programs. (Health sciences are not included.) Awards are made on an annual basis and can range from $300 to $1000 per recipient. Students enrolling full time as a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior in college for academic year 2018-2019 can apply. Former/current recipients must reapply.
Process: Interested students must submit a completed application no later than midnight March 30,

The scholarship is awarded to students pursuing education in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The student(s) was selected based on their application, teacher recommendations, essay and academic achievement. In addition to the monetary award, the student will be offered a mentor from the SAME Chesapeake Post as they pursue their academic career and networking opportunities with individuals in the STEM field.
