Programs

The Cape Fear Post of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) awards college scholarships each year to deserving students. The total scholarships awarded in 2018 totaled $12,000. Scholarships are awarded to the most deserving applicants based on academic achievement, participation in extracurricular activities, and a desire to pursue a college engineering or STEM degree. The scholarship award amount is based on applicants' merit. The scholarship award is given to an applicant, who is selected by committee, with potential to be a four year award. Scholarships can be renewed for the duration of winner's undergraduate tenure but a maximum of four years. All other awards are one time awards. Past winners, and past applicants who meet eligibility requirements are invited to re-apply for the scholarship.

The applicant must submit a completed application by April 5, 2019.

The 2019 Cape Fear Post scholarship applications will be due April 2019
