Scholarships
The Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Chesapeake Post is offering scholarships to assist college students who are pursuing careers in STEM fields: engineering, architecture, mathematics, technology, computer or related science (chemistry, biology, physics) degree programs. (Health sciences are not included.) Awards are made on an annual basis and can range from $250 to $500 per recipient. Students enrolling full-time as a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior in college for academic year 2020-2021 can apply. Former/current recipients must reapply; however, an essay is NOT required. An essay is required for all new applicants or prior applicants who have never received an award. Students who are receiving a full-tuition scholarship (e.g., Science Mathematics And Research for Transformation, US Service Academies) are NOT eligible for a Chesapeake Post scholarship; however, we encourage your continued participation for the mentorship and networking provided by the post.
Process: Interested students must submit a completed application no later than 4:00 PM; 27 March 2020.
