The MATHCOUNTS Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that strives to engage middle school students of all ability and interest levels in fun, challenging math programs, in order to expand their academic and professional opportunities. Middle school students exist at a critical juncture in which their love for mathematics must be nurtured, or their fear of mathematics must be overcome. MATHCOUNTS provides students with the kinds of experiences that foster growth and transcend fear to lay a foundation for future success.
STEM Explorer Post
The Explorer Post specializes in engineering for young women and men ages 14 to 22. Operating under the Boy Scouts of America Learning for Life Program, youth explore careers in structural engineering, architecture, hydrology, geology, mechanical engineering and computer engineering. America’s youth are the future of our nation, and introducing our brightest and most capable young women and men to careers in engineering helps assure America’s greatness for future generations.
Each year the Denver Metro Post offers scholarships to high school seniors and college freshmen, sophomores, and juniors who meet the following requirements:
*For children of SAME members, some preference will be given to students attending or planning to attend Front Range schools, but this is not a requirement.

The Society of American Military Engineers, in collaboration with the Military Services, offers a series of engineering/STEM camps designed for High School students who excel in math, science and technology courses and are interested in pursuing engineering, architecture, or a related field in college..
