President's Message

I’m deeply honored for the opportunity to serve as your Denver Metro Post President for the 2018-2019 year.  Denver has a vibrant A/E/C Community and I look forward to engaging our membership with relevant and timely monthly programs.  Our Board is dedicated and enjoys providing value to our members each month.

A few upcoming highlights include our Design and Construction of Hazardous Waste Sites (DCHWS) – West in November. This event is co-hosted by the EPA Region 8 Office. This will be our third year and it is fast becoming a premier event for the Environmental Community.  Congratulations to the planning team for building such an amazing program.

Besides the monthly membership meetings, we are trying to host other social and community focused activities. This year we are partnering with the Warrior Bonfire Program to sponsor their Warrior Bonfire Race 5K on 1 Oct 2018. This organization supports Veterans and their journey towards better health and wellness. They host numerous activities throughout the year to help Warriors connect with themselves, each other, and nature.  If you are interested in getting involved with the Race, we need volunteers, sponsors, and runners. You can learn more at the Race website.

My goal this year is to support our membership in achieving what they need from our Post. So please, tell me what you are looking for so we can help. Are you looking to connect with more people, learn about a new technical program, or just become more involved in the larger A/E/C community?  I look forward to serving you this year. Thank you to all our dedicated volunteers in the Post and throughout the Society who make all our events and activities happen!  We couldn’t do it without you!
