Three SAME Rhein-Main Post Young Members supported the US Army Corps of Engineers Europe District Commander, COL John Baker, celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the first Allied crossing of the Rhein during WWII at Remagen, Germany. In a very well attended event, 2 German Army veterans who were present at the bridge, along with a large local crowd, and other members of the US Army Europe Staff to help celebrate this brilliant feet by hundreds of brave American Soldiers. The Young Members, Scott Turygan, Brian Wybrecht, and CPT Matt Scrivner explored the ruins of the bridge and the opposite bank's overlooking cliffs in order to better understand the challenges faced not only to construct the bridge, but in taking and holding it during wartime. All ended the day with a greater appreciation of the American Military Engineers that have gone before them!
