TRS Group - February Luncheon Sustaining Member Spotlight

TRS Group, an employee owned company, offers unparalleled experience performing in situ thermal remediation (ISTR) including Electrical Resistance Heating (ERH), Thermal Conduction Heating (TCH), and low temperature heat enhanced plume attenuation (HEPA® Process) for the remediation of volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds (VOCs and SVOCs), energetics and pesticides in soil, groundwater and bedrock. TRS has completed more than 150 projects in the USA. Further, TRS routinely guarantees performance, which can include no-rebound provisions.

TRS operates three international joint ventures: in Brazil, Europe and China. Our North American business employs 65 full time professionals with the capacity to operate 18 projects simultaneously with our own specialized equipment.

TRS Company and ISTR Benefits and Advances:

·      Staff Culture. We nurture a cooperative and collaborative staff culture that is easy to work with. Our employee owners have a strong incentive to work productively with great attention to our client’s needs.

·      Tough Sites Closed. TRS has closed sites where other technologies have failed.

·      Rapid Remediation. TRS remediates most sites within 4 to 6 months.

·      Mass Removal or Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCLs). ISTR can effectively reduce contaminant mass in soil and groundwater by more than 99% and below MCLs.

·      Few Subsurface Limitations. ISTR (especially ERH) works virtually anywhere in the subsurface.

·      Remediation Under Buildings and Operating Sites. TRS often applies ERH under operating facilities, sidewalks or streets, in the presence of buried/operating utilities and public areas.

·      Total Plume Solution. TRS offers a total plume-wide solution called HEPA® Process to accelerate treatment beyond the source area.
