AECOM will share information about per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), a group of emerging contaminants that are common at Department of Defense sites. This interactive presentation will provide information on PFAS chemistry and use, and discuss policies and regulations that drive environmental investigations and treatment strategies for environmental media, drinking water, and wastewater. We will share anticipated future regulatory developments and how common AEC projects may be affected by the emergence of PFAS.
