Program: Lessons Learned from Super Storm Sandy

Speaker: COL Chris Becking

RSVP: by Friday, May 11

Description: On 29 October 2012 Superstorm Sandy came ashore in New Jersey, and caused levels of destruction not seen in recent memory. Sandy was eventually categorized as the largest Atlantic storm (based on storm diameter) in U.S. history. As the Commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Philadelphia District he led the effort to provide emergency public works and engineering support throughout New Jersey as requested by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
