Control System and Cybersecurity Industry Forum
November 13-14, Kansas City MO
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is hosting a two-day Industry Forum on Utility Monitoring and Control Systems (UMCS) and Cybersecurity of Facility-Related Control Systems (FRCS).
For UMCS, the Forum will focus on the current status and ongoing efforts related to HVAC control systems, and will also include discussion of non-HVAC control system specification and integration to achieve the goal of multi-function basewide UMCS systems.
The Cybersecurity content applies to all FRCS including Electronic Security Systems, Fire and Life Safety Systems, Building Control Systems, and Utility Control Systems. Topics include an overview of the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) as it applies to FRCS, an overview of the Cybersecurity Unified Facility Criteria (UFC) and an in-depth discussion of the cybersecurity guide specification UFGS 25 05 11 (currently undergoing a major revision).
In addition to the Forum itself, there will be opportunities for breakout meetings (both during and before/after the Forum) focused on specific system types.
This Forum will focus on the specification and installation of control systems, including the ability of devices to meet requirements and for designers and installers to implement the requirements. Designers, manufacturers and installers are encouraged to attend.
The Industry Forum will be held at the USACE Kansas City District office in Kansas City, MO on November 13th and 14th (with the possibility of breakout meetings on November 12th and 15th). Information regarding agenda and breakout meetings will be distributed to registered attendees in October. Attendance at the Industry Forum is free, but requires registration.
