Mr. Larry Hill, Telecommunication Manager North America, Badger Daylighting Corp.
Badger Daylighting is a company that designs and builds custom and purpose-specific hydrovac trucks (i.e. Badger Hydrovacs). Over their 25 years, they have been a go-to for hydro-excavation building the largest fleet in North America with 1300 vacuum trucks. Mr. Hill and his company Badger Daylighting Corp. developed a process of using non-destructive hydro-vacuum excavation on a large scale project to physically move telecom fiber cables without splicing or disruption of service. He will be describing this process, how it is or could be used on critical infrastructure projects, and the cost-saving this technology provides. For example, on one project, Larry and his team saved approx. $14 million dollars in relocation costs using this method. Mr. Hill and his team have worked on several military bases throughout the US to help locate critical facilities and mitigate construction conflicts.
