This briefing is being held, a little early, in support of November beingDepartment of Homeland Security Cybersecurityand Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA)Infrastructure Security Month.
This webinar will feature private and government panelists discussing our Nation’s cybersecurity and human safety challenges, including an update on current DoD CMMC regulations impacting companies of all sizes. Smart technologies in federal facilities can improve mission support and resilience, reduce operating costs, and meet sustainability goals. But these same technologies bring risk. National cyber threats are rapidly evolving, from malware and ransomware attacks affecting data and software to “killware” attacks targeting facilities in all sectors of society. In response to the emerging public safety threat, SAME established a national Industry-Government Engagements (IGE) on Cyber Safety to offer industry best practices for federal facility projects. Two panels will provide an update on the underlying cyber threat to smart technologies, the development of a national performance framework to mitigate cyber risk, and the progress of the IGE for our industry to implement cyber protections.
