Presentation Title: CDPHE PFAS Statewide Sampling Program Update
Speaker Team:
Sierra Mitchell – Ms. Mitchell is the PFAS Program coordinator for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Ms. Mitchell has been with the state for three years managing the PFAS Grant program. During this time, she has developed the SB20-218 PFAS grant program, oversaw the coordination of a statewide PFAS sampling effort, and managed grants for PFAS sampling, infrastructure and emergency assistance.
Travis Snyder – Mr. Snyder is a Senior Environmental Scientist and Project Manager at HDR Engineering with over 20 years of expertise in site coordination and quality control for large-scale site investigation projects. As a project manager for Colorado Superfund Sites, Mr. Snyder has experience conducting outreach and coordination with local government agencies and supporting sampling efforts. Mr. Snyder has been project manager for the CDPHE Statewide PFAS Sampling project since May 2022 and has overseen development of project plans, coordination with analytical laboratories and sampling teams, and reporting to CDPHE and program participants
