Tour of Northrop Grumman’s Facility in Elkton, Maryland

Join us for a tour of Northrop Grumman’s facility in Elkton, Maryland where they design, manufacture, and test solid fuel rocket motors for the space and defense industries. The meeting will consist of lunch, a presentation, and driving tour of the plant with selected stops.
Key administrative information:
Please note: Attendees should wear long pants, and closed-toe flat shoes (i.e., no heels). Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and lab coats may be required in some areas and will be provided. Jewelry, including rings, watches, and hair fasteners, is not permitted in operating areas and so will need to be removed and secured when directed. No audio, video, or photos are permitted during the visit.

11:45am Box Lunch/Presentation
12:15pm – 1:15pm Tour
1:15pm – 1:30pm Wrap-up; Depart
Place: Conowingo Northrop Grumman Elkton Facility, 55 Thiokol Road, Elkton MD 21921
Directions: From US40, go north on Thiokol Road. Park in the second parking lot on the left. Do not go thru the security gate. Once parked, proceed by foot down the walking path toward the building entrance, where you will check in and be directed to the conference room.
Cost:
SAME Members – $30.00 per person (includes box lunch)
Non-Members – $40.00 per person (includes box lunch)
(Please note that there is no charge for the tour. The registration
fee covers the cost of the boxed lunch and a donation to the Post’s scholarship program.)
Registration: Register by 12:00pm on Tuesday, May 12th thru Eventbrite. (Due to security requirements US Citizenship Required. Walk-ins will not be accepted.)
