STEM Programs and Events
Driven by a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, the Kaiserslautern Post is dedicated to advancing SAME’s 2030 Strategic Plan. We are committed to developing people and strengthening America’s STEM pipeline and technical workforce.
Building the STEM Pipeline
The Kaiserslautern Post actively invests in the next generation of innovators. From hands-on support for local DoDEA school activities to sponsoring students for SAME Engineering and Construction Camps, we are dedicated to student success. We also provide STEM scholarships to graduating seniors to fuel their academic journeys.
These vital programs are made possible through the generosity of our Sustaining Members, our corporate sponsors, and the proceeds from our Annual Golf Tournament.
Interested in volunteering to help support the Post’s STEM program? Please email the STEM Chair, Scott Matthews, F.SAME.

Supporting Local Teams – FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC)
For the second year in a row the Kaiserslautern Post proudly sponsored two local high school robotics teams in 2025. The Post contributed $250 each to the Ramstein High School Royals and the Kaiserslautern High School Raiders robotics teams, helping cover expenses for their trip to the 2025 FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) World Championships in Houston, Texas. This marked Kaiserslautern High School’s first appearance at the FTC World Championships and Ramstein High School’s second consecutive year participating. Additionally, the Post partnered with the Rhein-Main Post to secure an additional $1,000 in support.
