Everything You Ever Wanted to Know about the 2024 School Bond
About this presentation:
SAME Fellow Tom Fenoseff will give a presentation on the Anchorage School District 2024 Capital School Bond. Proposition 1 is $62.37M bond that includes infrastructure projects to make school buildings safe for students – roof repairs, secure entry vestibules, seismic safety, and planning for future projects. The 2024 bond will benefit over 10,000 Anchorage students, which is around 25% of all Anchorage students.
Tom will also give a brief overview of the Municipality of Anchorage’s $47M Bond proposition.
About our Speaker:
Speaker: Tom Fenoseff, Senior Director of Capital Planning & Construction, Anchorage School District
Thomas Fenoseff has served in the position of the Senior Director of Capital Planning & Construction for the Anchorage School District since 2017. He leads a team of dedicated professionals that provide safe, sustainable, and flexible educational environments to over 43,000 students and covering almost eight million square feet of facilities. Prior to working for the Anchorage School District, Thomas served as an officer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Some of his assignments include Deputy Chief of Staff for U.S. Army Alaska, Chief of Operations for Resolute Support Headquarters in Kabul, Afghanistan, and Assistant Director of Civil Works at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineer Headquarters in Washington, D.C. He holds a master’s degree in engineering management from the Missouri University of Science and Technology and a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from the United States Military Academy. He is a SAME Fellow and active member of the Anchorage Post.
