SAME Mission
Lead collaboration in support of our national security priorities through advancing three strategic goals: Drive Partnerships, Deliver Solutions, and Develop People.
About the Post
The Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) is the only nonprofit professional engineering education organization.
SAME actively promotes both the advancement of individual technical knowledge; and, the collective engineering capabilities of governments, the uniformed services and private industry.
The goal of SAME is to unite public and private sector entities and individuals in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction fields. Once united, the collaborative goal is to prepare for and overcome natural and man made disasters, acts of terrorism and improve security at home and abroad.
SAME Carolina Midlands Post accomplishes this goal here in Columbia, SC.
Our post supports this goal by hosting monthly luncheons and other professional/social activities. Our SAME events are attended by members of local government, military, private industry, students and interested parties.
These meetings are announced through our e-mail distribution list and quarterly newsletter.
The SAME Carolina Midlands Post is supported by the national Society of American Military Engineers and publications such as The Military Engineer. The Military Engineer also promotes the interests and goals of our SAME society and its members.

These investments ensure initiatives like the Leader Development Program, STEM/Engineering & Construction Camps, STEM Pathways, and Career Transition Workshop remain accessible, impactful, and imagining the possible.
When you give, you directly help foster engineering leadership for the nation. America’s future is bright. Let’s help make it brighter, together.
