Welcome!
Welcome to the SAME Blue Ridge Post (BRP), where we are working with U.S. Government entities to encourage
better coordination between government and industry.
The BRP board of directors and the Post’s industry supporters’ coordinate with local Government entities to
facilitate information sharing and collaboration that further the missions of all. This cooperation allows
government contractors to network and learn about topics that are important to them and their businesses. This
mutual exchange of ideas and information also allows Government personnel to learn about industry updates, to
network, share their lessons learned, success stories, and contracting best practices that lead to future partnership
opportunities.
In addition to successful government-industry collaboration, the BRP is a longtime and ardent supporter of SAME’s
Vision 2025 Strategic Plan, Goal 4: Enrich the STEM Pipeline for the Nation. The BRP has sponsored summer
Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) summer camps for current high school students and
provides mentoring and funding (STEM Scholarships) for college bound students.
Communities of Interest
SAME’s Communities of Interest offer members a chance to engage nationally with other professionals focused on a particular technical field or demographic within joint engineering and the A/E/C industry.
