2026 Justin Noyes High School Scholarship Award Announcement:
These annual scholarships are in honor of Marine Sergeant Justin Noyes, an American Hero, who fought and died while serving our country in Fallujah, Iraq. Named for a remarkable young man who was fiercely dedicated to the service of our Nation, the scholarships recognize students whose accomplishments; associated with scholastic abilities, leadership and love of country; are honored by SAME and mirror the achievements of Sergeant Noyes.
Those receiving scholarships for 2026 include:
- Kendrick Tolon – Renewable Recipient – Will Rogers High School – plans to attend OU and study Computer Engineering
- Cassandra Husen – Bixby High School – plans to attend OU and study Mechanical Engineering
- Ryan Marazas – Bixby High School – plans to attend OSU and study Mechanical Engineering
Those receiving their $2,500 renewable scholarships from past awards include:
- Samantha Kotas – 2nd year
- Jenna Epperly – 3rd year
- Sydney Dale – 4th year
2025 J.D. Metcalfe College Scholarship Announcement:
The Tulsa Post of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) is pleased to announce the award of five $2,000 scholarships to Junior or Senior students in Engineering, Biological Sciences and Physical Sciences programs.
Our annual scholarships are named in honor of Mr. J.D. Metcalfe who was instrumental in accomplishing unprecedented and nationally recognized flood risk reduction initiatives in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was a loyal and respected member of the SAME. During his career as Tulsa Street Commissioner, Mr. Metcalfe’s vision and leadership improved the quality of life of countless Tulsans. These scholarships will recognize students whose accomplishments; associated with scholastic abilities, leadership and love of country; are honored by SAME and mirror the achievements of Mr. Metcalfe.
These scholarships are not limited to students interested in military careers. All applicants in Engineering, Biological Science, or Physical Science programs that meet the eligibility requirements will be considered.
Those receiving scholarships for 2025 include:
- Bailey Preston – Missouri S&T University
- Caitlyn Burk – Oklahoma State University
- Courtney Perry Mardis – Oklahoma State University
- Makenna Walters – University of Tulsa
- Nikolas Hamblin – Oklahoma University

2026 Will Rogers JROTC Scholarship:
The Tulsa Post donates $1,500 to the Will Rogers High School JROTC Program each year in April. In addition, three $2500 scholarships are awarded to deserving high school students. These students are enrolled in AP courses and make up the Will Rogers JROTC BN Color Guard, and are its top producing Cadets.
Recipients for 2026 include:

SAME’s Communities of Interest offer members a chance to engage nationally with other professionals focused on a particular technical field or demographic within joint engineering and the A/E/C industry.
