Huntsville Post Scholarship Announcement
Opportunities Information: 2025 – 2026 School Year
The Huntsville Post is accepting applications for its $7000, $6000, $5000 (2), $4000 (2), $3000 (2), $2000 (3), and $3000 & $4000 for A&M scholarships for School Year 2025 – 2026.
The Charles A. Joyner, Jr. Memorial $7000 Scholarship is designated for a son/daughter or grandson/granddaughter or stepson/stepdaughter of an active or deceased member of the SAME Huntsville Post or an active student member of the SAME Huntsville Post. The student must also be a full-time college undergraduate student while the scholarship is, in effect, majoring in architecture, engineering, construction, mathematics, natural science, technology, computer science, cyber security, or other STEM or AEC-industry-related fields. Students are qualified to be awarded the Charles A. Joyner, Jr. Memorial Scholarship only once.
The William E. Bowers Memorial $6000 Scholarship is designated for a son/daughter or grandson/granddaughter or stepson/stepdaughter of an active or deceased member of the SAME Huntsville Post or an active student member of the SAME Huntsville Post. The student must also be a full-time college undergraduate student while the scholarship is in effect, majoring in engineering, mathematics, or natural sciences. Students are qualified to be awarded the William E. Bowers Memorial Scholarship only once.
The Shearer & Associates Cybersecurity Scholarship $5000 is designated for a son/daughter or granddaughter or stepson/stepdaughter of an active or deceased member of the SAME Huntsville Post or an active student member of the SAME Huntsville Post. The student must pursue either a degree in Cybersecurity Engineering or a STEM degree with/ a minor in cybersecurity or computer science. Students must be full-time college undergraduates or graduating seniors while the scholarship is in effect.
The Huntsville Post’s $5000 Scholarship, $4000 Scholarship, $3000 Scholarship, and the four $2000 Scholarships are designated for a son/daughter or grandson/granddaughter or stepson/stepdaughter of an active or deceased member of the SAME Huntsville Post or an active student member of the SAME Huntsville Post. The student must also be a full-time college undergraduate student while the scholarship is in effect, majoring in engineering, mathematics, or natural sciences.
The Huntsville Post’s $4000 Scholarship and $3000 Scholarship are designated for the Alabama A&M student chapter. The student must also be a full-time college undergraduate majoring in engineering, mathematics, or natural sciences while the scholarship is in effect.

The Bolding Scholarship and Leadership Program- up to a $30,000.00 Scholarship is designated for a veteran, son/daughter of veteran, grandson/granddaughter of veteran for any level of education post high school. This is a merit based scholarship focused on the applicants effort to support of patriotism and love of country, community service to help those in need and to energize those of merit, veteran support, mentorship for the younger generation. Applicants are encouraged to apply for all scholarships. The Joyner and Bowers Memorial Scholarships can be awarded only once to any one individual.
The Huntsville Post Scholarship Chair has the final word on any resolution of issues of award of scholarships.
