ABOUT THE POST

The Seattle Post was chartered in 1920 - the same year the National Society of American Military Engineers was organized.
We have been awarded the Society's "Distinguished Post" award over 18 years, and achieved this award again in 2013-2014.

Membership includes all branches of the military, with representatives from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Seattle District, the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Northwest (NAVFAC NW), the Coast Guard's Facilities Design & Construction Center, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration NOAA), and Public Health Service, as well as other federal, state, and local agencies that provide and utilize engineering, planning, architecture and construction services. Our membership also includes the majority of the Northwest's major civilian engineer, planning, architectural, and construction firms that provide professional services to federal, state, and local agencies. Please browse our website and discover why SAME is a premiere society for today's engineer.
