2026 PSE&SSF and SAME Post Scholarships

The Puget Sound Engineering & Science Scholarship Fund (PSE&SSF) has initiated their Sponsored Scholarship program for 2026.  Completed scholarship applications will be accepted during the scholarship application acceptance period (February 09, 2026 through April 17, 2026). Here’s an overview of the scholarships being awarded in 2026. 

2026 PSE&SSF & SAME Seattle Post Scholarships Available

Here’s an overview of the scholarships being awarded by PSE&SSF and the SAME Seattle Post in 2026. They are broken into three (3) categories:

1.Puget Sound Fund Scholarships (for High School Seniors graduating in spring of 2026): The applicant must be a US citizen accepted into a full-time program of study towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in engineering, science, technology, or a related field at an accredited college or university. Currently, $1,000 in Puget Sound Fund Scholarships will be awarded to graduating High School Seniors that will be attending an accredited college or university in the Fall of 2026. The PSE&SSF College Scholarship breakout and allocation is as follows:

One (1) scholarship award valued at $1,000.

2. High School Senior Scholarships (for High School Seniors graduating in spring of 2026): The applicant must be a US citizen accepted into a full-time program of study towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in engineering, science, technology, or a related field at an accredited college or university. Currently, $27,500 in college scholarships will be awarded to graduating High School Seniors that will be attending an accredited college or university in the Fall of 2026. The High School Senior Scholarship breakout and allocation is as follows:

Seven (7) scholarship awards valued at $2,000 each

Five (5) scholarship awards valued at $1,500 each, and

Six (6) scholarship awards valued at $1,000 each.

3.SAME Seattle Post Member Scholarships: The applicant must be a US citizen sponsored by a SAME Seattle Post Member. The applicant may be either currently enrolled as a full-time college student in pursuit of their undergraduate degree OR be a graduating High School Senior. The applicant must be enrolled in or be accepted into a full-time program of study towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in engineering, science, technology, or a related field at an accredited college or university. If a graduating senior, the applicant must have graduated from or be scheduled to graduate from an accredited High School, public or private, in 2026. Currently, $27,500 in scholarships will be awarded to Seattle Post Member-sponsored applicants. Applicants who are dependents of Seattle Post Members (i.e., family members within the third degree of kindred*) will be given preference. The SAME Seattle Post Member Scholarship breakout and allocation is as follows:

One (1) scholarship award valued at $4,000,

Five (5) scholarship awards valued at $3,500 each, and

Two (2) scholarship awards valued at $3,000 each.

In addition, sponsored candidates who are graduating High School Seniors will automatically be considered for High School Senior Scholarships and Puget Sound Fund Scholarships.

Applicant must be a High School Senior that is graduating from a private or public high school located within one of the State of Washington counties bordering the Puget Sound, which include Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish, King, Kitsap, Pierce, Thurston, Mason, Jefferson, Clallam, Island, and San Juan. Home-schooled applicants must also reside within one of the listed State of Washington counties.

** Applicant must be sponsored by a current SAME Seattle Post Member and must be a graduating High School Senior OR a currently enrolled college student. Applicants who are dependents of Seattle Post Members (i.e., family members within the third degree of kindred***) will be given preference. In addition, sponsored candidates who are graduating High School Seniors will automatically be considered for High School Senior Scholarships and Puget Sound Fund Scholarships.

The final number and value of scholarships in each category may be adjusted based on the number and quality of the applications as well as additional funds which may become available.

Any of the three scholarship opportunities identified above may be applied for by using the scholarship application completion and submittal steps stated below:
1) Follow the cited kaleidoscope.com link below to obtain and complete an online scholarship application. The deadline for receipt of completed scholarship applications is midnight on Friday, April 17, 2026.

2) You will have the ability to upload an electronic copy of your academic transcript for submittal within the online application form. Please attach a transcript that includes grades from your Fall 2025 semester (or Winter 2026 quarter).

If required, an applicant will have the ability to electronically upload an updated academic transcript in the kaleidoscope.com application link above after formally submitting the online application form. This upload must occur by Friday, April 17, 2026.

3) No hard copy applications will be accepted. Only completed applications and transcripts utilizing the kaleidoscope.com application link above will be accepted.

2026 Sponsored Scholarships Available

A summary table is provided below to identify all Sponsored Scholarship opportunities. 

Sponsored Scholarships:

A.   PSE&SSF Founders Scholarship in Memory of Steve Woolery(for current full-time undergraduate Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture students):  The applicant must be a full-time college student who is majoring (either accepted or currently enrolled) and seeking a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in a Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture discipline within an accredited college/university.

  • One (1) $7,200 scholarship award is available for 2026 and will be awarded to a student who continues the pursuit of an undergraduate BS Degree in a Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture discipline within an accredited college/university into the fall of 2026.  Preference will be given to students attending an accredited college/university in the Pacific Northwest (WA or OR).

B.   William Wallace Wood, Jr. Scholarship (for current full-time undergraduate Electrical Engineering students):  The applicant must be a full-time college student who is majoring (either accepted or currently enrolled) and seeking a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in an Electrical Engineering discipline within an accredited college/university.

  • One (1) $3,500 scholarship award is available for 2026 and will be awarded to a student who continues the pursuit of an undergraduate BS Degree in an Electrical Engineering discipline within an accredited college/university into the fall of 2026.  Preference will be given to students attending an accredited college/university in the Pacific Northwest (WA or OR).

C.   SAME Seattle Post President Scholarship in Honor of Bob Sundin (for current full-time undergraduate Engineering or Science students):  The applicant must be a full-time college student who is majoring (either accepted or currently enrolled) and seeking a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline within an accredited college/university.

  • One (1) $3,000 scholarship award is available for 2026 and will be awarded to a student who continues the pursuit of an undergraduate BS Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline within an accredited college/university into the fall of 2026.  Preference will be given to students attending an accredited college/university in the State of Washington.

D.   Blue Trident, LLC Scholarship (for current full-time undergraduate Engineering or Science students):  The applicant must be a full-time college student who is majoring (either accepted or currently enrolled) and seeking a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline within an accredited college/university.

  • One (1) $2,500 scholarship award is available for 2026 and will be awarded to a student who continues the pursuit of an undergraduate BS Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline within an accredited college/university into the fall of 2026.  Preference will be given to children of diversity and/or children of military veterans.  Additionally, preference will be given to students attending an accredited college/university in the State of Washington.

E.   Kiewit Scholarship (for current full-time undergraduate Construction Management or Civil Engineering students):  The applicant must be a full-time college student who is majoring (either accepted or currently enrolled) and seeking a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in a Construction Management or Civil Engineering discipline within an accredited college/university.

  • One (1) $2,500 scholarship award is available for 2026 and will be awarded to a student who continues the pursuit of an undergraduate BS Degree in a Construction Management or Civil Engineering discipline into the fall of 2026.  Preference will be given to students attending either Oregon State University or Washington State University.

F.   Shannon & Wilson Scholarship (for current full-time undergraduate University of Washington students):  The applicant must be a full-time college student who is majoring (either accepted or currently enrolled) and seeking a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in a Civil Engineering discipline within an accredited college/university.

  • One (1) $2,500 scholarship award is available for 2026 and will be awarded to a student who continues the pursuit of an undergraduate BS Degree in a Civil Engineering discipline into the fall of 2026.  Preference will be given to students attending the University of Washington.

G.   WJA Design Collaborative Scholarship (for current full-time undergraduate Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering students): The applicant must be a full-time college student who is majoring (either accepted or currently enrolled) and seeking a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in any Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering discipline within an accredited college/university.

  • One (1) $2,500 scholarship award is available for 2026 and will be awarded to a student who continues the pursuit of an undergraduate BS Degree in any Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering discipline within an accredited college/university into the fall of 2026.  Preference will be given to students attending an accredited college/university in the State of Washington.

H.   Anchor QEA Engineering & Science Scholarship (for current full-time undergraduate Engineering or Science students):  The applicant must be a full-time college student who is majoring (either accepted or currently enrolled) and seeking a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in an Engineering discipline or Science discipline within an accredited college/university.

  • One (1) $2,000 scholarship award is available for 2026 and will be awarded to a student who continues the pursuit of an undergraduate BS Degree in an Engineering discipline or Science discipline within an accredited college/university into the fall of 2026.  Preference will be given to students attending an accredited college/university in the State of Washington.

I.    EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC Scholarship(for current full-time undergraduate Environmental major students):  The applicant must be a full-time college student who is majoring (either accepted or currently enrolled) and seeking a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in any Science, Engineering, or Technology Discipline related to the Environment within an accredited college/university.

  • One (1) $2,000 scholarship award is available for 2026 and will be awarded to a student who continues the pursuit of an undergraduate BS Degree in any Science, Engineering, or Technology Discipline related to the Environment within an accredited college/university into the fall of 2026.  Environmental discipline for this scholarship is defined as Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related Environmental Technology field.  Preference will be given to students attending an accredited college/university in the State of Washington.

J.   GeoEngineers Scholarship (for current full-time undergraduate Geotechnical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering students): The applicant must be a full-time college student who is majoring (either accepted or currently enrolled) and seeking a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in a Geotechnical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering discipline within an accredited college/university.

  • One (1) $2,000 scholarship award is available for 2026 and will be awarded to a student who continues the pursuit of an undergraduate BS Degree in a Geotechnical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering discipline within an accredited college/university into the fall of 2026.  Preference will be given to students attending an accredited college/university in the State of Washington.

K.   Lindahl Reed Scholarship (for current full-time undergraduate Architecture, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Structural Engineering students):  The applicant must be a full-time college student who is majoring (either accepted or currently enrolled) and seeking a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in any Architecture, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Structural Engineering discipline within an accredited college/university.

  • One (1) $2,000 scholarship award is available for 2026 and will be awarded to a student who continues the pursuit of an undergraduate BS Degree in any Architecture, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Structural Engineering discipline within an accredited college/university into the fall of 2026.  Preference will be given to students attending an accredited college/university in the State of Washington.

L.   Makers Architecture & Urban Design Scholarship (for current full-time undergraduate Architecture or Planning students):  The applicant must be a full-time college student who is majoring (either accepted or currently enrolled) and seeking a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in an Architecture or Planning discipline within an accredited college/university.

  • One (1) $2,000 scholarship award is available for 2026 and will be awarded to a student who continues the pursuit of an undergraduate BS Degree in an Architecture or Planning discipline within an accredited college/university into the fall of 2026.  Preference will be given to a female student.  Additionally, preference will be given to students attending an accredited college/university in the State of Washington.

M.  Reid Middleton Scholarship (for current full-time undergraduate Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Land Surveying students):  The applicant must be a full-time college student who is majoring (either accepted or currently enrolled) and seeking a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in a Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Land Surveying discipline within an accredited college/university.

  • One (1) $2,000 scholarship award is available for 2026 and will be awarded to a student who continues the pursuit of an undergraduate BS Degree in a Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Land Surveying discipline within an accredited college/university into the fall of 2026.  Preference will be given to students attending an accredited college/university in AK, WA, OR, CA, ID, WY, NV, UT, CO, AZ, or NM.

N.   WSP Scholarship (for current full-time undergraduate Engineering students):  The applicant must be a full-time college student who is majoring (either accepted or currently enrolled) and seeking a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in an Engineering discipline within an accredited college/university.

  • One (1) $2,000 scholarship award is available for 2026 and will be awarded to a student who continues the pursuit of an undergraduate BS Degree in an Engineering discipline within an accredited college/university into the fall of 2026   Preference will be given to student diversity.  Additionally, preference will be given to students attending an accredited college/university in the State of Washington.
