Rhein Main STEM

Building the Future Through STEM

The SAME Rhein-Main Post is dedicated to inspiring, developing, and empowering the next generation of STEM professionals. Through education, mentorship, scholarships, and hands-on learning opportunities, we help students discover how Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics can be used to solve real-world challenges and shape a stronger future.

As part of SAME’s commitment to strengthening America’s engineering and technical workforce, we support students from kindergarten through high school by fostering curiosity, innovation, leadership, and a passion for lifelong learning. We believe that today’s students are tomorrow’s engineers, architects, scientists, builders, and problem-solvers, and we are committed to helping them explore and pursue those pathways. Below are some of the ways in which the Rhein-Main Post supports STEM.

1. STEM Scholarships

A cornerstone of our STEM program is the Rhein-Main Post Scholarship Initiative. Through the generous support of our members, sponsors, and annual fundraising events, including our Golf Tournament, we award scholarships to outstanding high school seniors pursuing degrees in STEM-related fields. We also provide support for students selected to attend SAME’s premier STEM and Engineering & Construction Camps in the United States, where they gain hands-on technical experience, develop leadership skills, and engage with industry and military professionals.

2. STEM/Engineering & Construction Summer Camps

Beyond scholarships and camps, the Rhein-Main Post actively promotes STEM engagement through outreach activities, educational events, and partnerships designed to inspire students and connect them with meaningful opportunities to learn, lead, and serve. You can find out more and apply to attend camps here.

3. STEM Credentialing/Testing Support

4. Other STEM Programs

The Rhein-Main Post attends local high school STEM Fairs/Career Days providing information to students on a variety of STEM professions. Our Post also provides financial assistance to local Robotics teams that are part of national/international competitions. Lastly, we host an annual “STEM Europe” webinar once a year bringing together hundreds of students from approximately 20 high schools in Germany, Italy, Spain, Ukraine, the UK, and others.

5. SAME Annual Student Fundraiser Golf Tournament

This event is our largest annual fundraiser! All proceeds support a variety of student programs and scholarships each year. Find out more on the golf tournament page here!

Together, we are helping build the future STEM workforce and preparing the leaders who will design, construct, protect, and sustain our world for generations to come.
