Join the fun by volunteering at the STEAM Expo supporting the Joint Base Andrews Air Show with several opportunities to support our Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math students and our Exibitors during the Air Show.
Please sign up NLT 5 pm on Thursday, Sept. 4 to become a volunteer. More details on logistics (parking, times, etc.) will be shared once you’ve signed up to support the event.

VOLUNTEER ROLES & CONTRIBUTIONS
Volunteers for this event must be 18+ to participate.
1. Guest Engagement & Wayfinding
Greet visitors at exhibit entrances and provide a quick overview of the STEM/STEAM zones. Direct guests to specific exhibits, ensuring steady flow and avoiding crowding. Hand out programs, activity maps, or scavenger hunt cards for younger attendees.
2. Activity Support & Demonstrations
Assist exhibitors with hands-on activities — e.g., helping students try on flight gear, guiding robotics demos, or explaining interactive displays in simple terms.
Keep activity materials stocked, sanitized, and ready for the next group.
Encourage shy or hesitant visitors to participate in activities.
3. Safety & Equipment Oversight
Monitor exhibit areas to ensure guests handle equipment safely.
Help maintain clear walkways and keep high-traffic zones organized.
Support quick resets between demonstration cycles to maintain schedules.
4. Logistical Support
Assist with setup and teardown of exhibit booths, tables, and signage.
Help restock giveaway items, educational handouts, or water for exhibitors.
Serve as a point of contact between the exhibitor and event operations team when small needs arise.
FOOD & DRINK
Vendors will be on site selling refreshments. You’re also welcome to bring your own.
DRESS CODE
You may wear a branded logo t-shirt, but please note that companies cannont be publicly advertised unless they are official sponsors of the Air Show.
