Wednesday, June 11, 2025 | 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM ET

About the Webinar

Have you ever wondered why a seemingly well-planned federal construction project draws limited bids or none at all? From the contractor’s perspective, the decision to pursue a project involves a complex analysis of cost, risk, competition, and opportunity. Join the SAME Construction COI for an inside look at the contractor “go/no-go” decision-making process. This webinar, presented by senior leaders from Hensel Phelps, will walk participants through the contractor business model, realities behind bidding, the hidden costs of pursuit, and how market conditions are reshaping the landscape for federal construction contractors. More importantly, we’ll explore how Government acquisition teams can make their projects more attractive to industry. Topics will include procurement best practices, schedule realism, risk allocation, early engagement strategies, and actionable steps to improve competition and award outcomes.

Whether you’re a Government Program Manager, Contracting Officer, Designer, or Industry Partner, this session will provide valuable insight into the factors that drive contractor participation and how smarter procurement strategies can better serve the mission.
