SAME, in partnership with NextOp, is excited to bring you the 2024 Career Transition Workshop. If you are looking to kick-start your next career opportunity, or looking to add talent to your team, join us for the 2024 SAME Career Transition Workshop (CTW) in partnership with NextOp, a non-profit organization connecting veterans and military members to career opportunities. Their goal is to bridge the gap between the military and industries in need of diverse and skilled talent, specifically for mid-level enlisted personnel.
For job seekers: You’ll get the full experience: from resume and LinkedIn reviews to robust educational sessions and recruiter interviews from a wide variety of companies (onsite only). If you can’t make the onsite event, you’ll gain valuable insight and experience through an extensive virtual program.
For recruiters: You spoke, and we listened. Many of you have asked for more enlisted participation in the Career Transition Workshop. In an effort to build a stronger enlisted presence, we have partnered with NextOp, specifically for this event; they are an SAME Strategic Partner that specializes in assisting mid-level enlisted service members as they transition into the private sector and find jobs. This is a pilot program for 2024, so we are excited to hear your thoughts about it after the workshop. We will still have our normal demographic present, which typically includes O5-O6 retirees and some junior officers who are separating. Additionally, the SAME Foundation granted our program an additional $10,000 to subsidize travel & lodging for service members trying to get to Linthicum for the in-person interviews and networking. We’ve developed a robust education program that you are welcome to take part in as well. We think this will be an exciting year for the workshop and hope you will consider joining us!
This event is for professionals of all levels looking for a change in their career. Whether you’re a junior officer or an enlisted service member transitioning out of active duty, or a senior officer retiring after serving for 20+ years…or if you are a professional looking for a change, there is no better time than now to join us for this highly interactive, educational, SAME Career Transition Workshop.

Hotel Reservations
SAME has established a block of rooms at the rate of $115 per night plus state and local taxes. Rooms are available at the group rate until January 29, 2024, or the block is sold-out, whichever is first. Hotel rooms are available for arrivals on Wednesday, February 14 and departures on Friday, February 16, 2024.
Our hotel room block is reserved for Registered attendees only.
All reservations must be accompanied by a first night room deposit or guaranteed with a major credit card.
