What: April 2026 Meeting: Guided Tour of Hill Aerospace Museum
A quick one hour whirlwind tour with a lot of relevant history for those that must limit their time. The presenter will stick around for those who don’t need to run off. The presenter has spent the past 2 years of the retirement as a docent at the Hill Aerospace Museum finding interesting things to say about each item in their vast collection.
Presenter: Charlie Vono
Charlie Vono is a retired USAFR colonel and retired TRW engineer/manager. He was a KC-135 pilot in the Strategic Air Command refueling all sorts of receivers including the SR-71. He was the systems software manager in the USAF/NASA Inertial Upper Stage Program in Los Angeles and an F-16 Structural Engineer at Hill AFB. In his 25 years as an engineer for TRW he worked in all subsystems of the Minuteman ICBM. His father was a B-24 gunner during WWII.
