Airfield Infrastructure Recapitalization, Modernization, & Resiliency

Join us as Matt Kundrot, PE, who served as principal airfield planner and engineer, leading the environmental and facility planning and design for the reconstruction of the 11,7003’ long runway at Offutt AFB. The over $200M program involved the temporary relocation of Air Combat Command’s 55th Wing, resulting in a 50-year recapitalization of the runway and significant improvement in the safety and resiliency of the airfield. Matt will share lessons learned from the planning through the construction duration from 2016 to 2023.
