Please join us on December 13, 2025 for the annual wreath laying ceremony at the Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
The ceremony will start at 9:00 AM that morning.
There will be no public parking at the cemetery on the day of the event.
We will organize a carpool for SAME attendees and guests from the Masons Grill and Smokehouse located in Suffolk, VA.
The Horton Wreath Society also provides buses from Kings Fork High School in Suffolk that morning, if you prefer.
We will hold a pre-briefing via Teams on an evening in the week prior to the event for anyone interested.
The general schedule for the day is as follows:
0715 – Meet at the Masons Grill and Smokehouse to leave by 0730.
0830 – Gather at the Committal Shelter at the cemetery
0900 – Ceremony
Immediate following the ceremony – Disburse to the trucks for wreath laying
Following the wreath laying all SAME participants and guests are invited to go Masons Grill and Smokehouse for lunch and debrief.
