Keynote Speaker: Colonel Daniel J. Herlihy
The Pittsburgh Post is honored to welcome as our Keynote speaker, Colonel Daniel J. Herlihy, Commander and Division Engineer, Great Lakes and Ohio River Division.
On 13 August 2025, Colonel Daniel J. Herlihy assumed command of the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division (LRD), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).
As the Division Engineer, he serves as the senior military officer in the division, headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. The division delivers engineering and water resource solutions for the Great Lakes and Ohio River region, covering 335,000 square miles and parts of seventeen states. The division’s civil works mission provides planning, construction, and operation of navigation structures and flood damage reduction, hydropower, environmental restoration, water management, recreation, and disaster response. COL Herlihy’s USACE experience includes service as the Deputy Commander and Deputy District Engineer for the New England District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. While in New England, COL Herlihy also deployed to Deveselu, Romania in support of Europe District for the Aegis Ashore Romania project. COL Herlihy is a Project Management Professional and a licensed Professional Engineer.
Update: Due to official duties, the originally announced keynote speaker, LTG William H. “Butch” Graham, Jr., is unable to attend. We are pleased to welcome Colonel Daniel J. Herlihy as our Keynote Speaker.
