Applications for 2024 Camp Mentors close on April 15.

SAME’s STEM/Engineering & Construction Camps, running successfully for over 20 years, have a proven track record of shaping the next generation of engineering and STEM experts. Our dedicated mentors inspire and guide campers in a top-notch learning setting that is filled with opportunities to ignite the passion of our future STEM leaders.
The Camps Mentoring Program is one of the key initiatives of the SAME Foundation. Hand in hand with the Engineering & Construction Camps Program, mentors are truly where the rubber meets the road in advancing the Foundation’s core mission of fostering engineering leadership for the nation. Mentors not only provide guidance and advice to campers, but create bonds that may last for years.
Tailored for high school students in grades 10 to 12, the camps foster teamwork by grouping campers in teams of 10, led and inspired by mentors whose energy and expertise in the A/E/C industry is the cornerstone of this unique experience. Engaging in engineering and STEM challenges throughout the week, participants are guided by inspiring mentors every step of the way.
As a mentor, you’ll be an integral part of the camp as you and the students experience hands-on activities that focus on real-world applications. If you have experience as a communicator, coach, guide, or are simply looking to share your experience in the industry with the next generation of STEM professionals, apply to become a camp mentor before April 15, 2024.
The week-long camps, held in conjunction with the U.S. Army, the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps are designed for high school students who excel in math, science, and technology courses and are interested in pursuing engineering, architecture, construction, or a related fields in college. Our camps are led by expert engineers from private industry and uniformed services. SAME’s dedicated mentors play a crucial role in the camp’s achievements. Become a camp mentor today and make a difference for tomorrow’s engineers!
