Partnering and Collaboration: The Europe Tri-Services Summit Brings 17 Countries to the Table

Europe Tri-Services Regional Summit

The 2026 Europe Tri-Services Regional Summit was held on March 3-5 in Frankfurt, Germany and co-hosted by SAME with NAVFAC EURAFCENT, NAVFAC Atlantic, AFIMSC Det 4, USACE Europe District, and other agencies in the region. The bi-annual event, which alternates between the Indo-Pacific Regional Summit and the Europe-focused event, addresses issues within and affecting the European, African, and Central Commands. From planning and contracting to design and construction, host nation challenges, evolving international conditions, and to better understand the support needed to improve processes and outcomes with project delivery, the Summit was a unique opportunity to be part of the conversation, to collaborate, and to innovate forward.

The Europe Tri-Services Regional Summit brought together more than 350 attendees from 17 countries, making it one of our most successful gatherings to date. The event was proudly supported by the Rhein-Main Post, Kaiserslautern Post, UK Post, Poland Field Chapter, Italy Field Chapter, and Ukraine Field Chapter.

With the conference focusing on industry-government engagement, the presentations on Wednesday began with a program overview from USACE Europe District. The Corps presented its main priorities and outlined details of potential opportunities within its $14.8 billion portfolio. NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) provided details of its mission and opportunities, and NAVFAC EURAFCENT presented an overview of its responsibilities and trends, then outlined the opportunities for industry to participate in its sizeable workload.

AFRICOM and AFIMSC Det 4 presented their substantial responsibilities and complex logistical challenges. The commands gave a detailed outline of their current infrastructure and presence in the region. Each provided a summary of short- and long-term projects planned and opportunities for industry to participate in these initiatives.

Thursday included two IGE Roundtable discussions that provided a structured framework through an expert led, interactive format: Delivering Defense Infrastructure in Europe: Bridging U.S. and Host Nation Approaches and Mastering the Art of the Estimate: Building High‑Confidence MILCON Cost Products. Attendees were invited directly into the problem-solving process where they provided feedback and refine solutions on these pressing issues.

The 2026 Europe Tri-Services Regional Summit was a successful and unique opportunity to bring together industry experts, military leaders, government officials, and academia hear about upcoming project opportunities, understand trends and strategies, and to shape the future of the region.
