SAME Omaha Post and NBDC APEX Accelerator Connect 69 Small Businesses with Buyers at Virtual Matchmaker
USACE and EPA joined eight prime contractors; 60 meetings were completed
Omaha, Neb. — December 3, 2025 — The SAME Omaha Post, in collaboration with the NBDC APEX Accelerator, announced strong results from its SAME Virtual Matchmaker held December 2. The event convened 8 prime contractors, 2 federal agencies—the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)—and 69 small businesses seeking opportunities in the federal marketplace.
Across the event, participants scheduled 71 one‑on‑one meetings; 60 were conducted, averaging more than six meetings per host. The agenda focused on practical connections that can lead to teaming opportunities, subcontracting, and future procurement opportunities.
“This matchmaker delivered exactly what small businesses needed—high‑quality conversations that move opportunities forward,” said Bobbi Jo Lang, MBA, SAME Omaha Post. “We’re grateful to USACE, EPA, and our prime partners for showing up and engaging with the region’s small‑business talent.”
“Helping small firms win federal work is our mission,” said Veronica Doga, Program Director NBDC APEX Accelerator. “A 90 percent meeting completion rate shows the level of preparation and demand on both sides. We’ll keep supporting these companies with post‑event guidance, capability reviews, and bid strategies.”
