The mission of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) is to promote and facilitate engineering support for national security by developing and enhancing relationships and competencies among uniformed services, public and private sector engineers, and related professionals."

At the Okinawa Field Chapter of the Japan Post, we will strive to improve the sense of partnership between the various elements of the engineering community: Academia, Industry and Government. To that end, our goal will be to integrate efforts across Okinawa, ultimately helping to inform and educate both the current and future members of the engineering community."

We are seeking generous donations of $500.00 to $1,000.00 from individuals and companies to help our organization.
The SAME is a 501c (3) educational and science organization. All event proceeds will support SAME Japan Post’s symposium venue costs, scholarship program, construction camps, and youth outreach programs for American and Okinawa students pursuing their education in engineering or architecture.

Additionally donations will offset venue costs for putting on these events, your generosity is deeply requested.




Japan April Industry Forum

We invite you to this April’s Japan Industry Forum on 17-18 April at the New Sanno hotel in Tokyo.  There will be a small registration fee required.  Soon we will announce a 19 April golf tournament as well.  Attached is the Registration Form.  Please submit one form for each person who will attend no later than 22 March 2019.  Our maximum attendance cannot exceed 350, so early registration is desired.

2 FULL DAYS where we will have (Draft Agenda):

  • Keynote addresses from senior military logisticians and engineers
  • Contracting processes to make it easy to work with the US government
  • Contracting issues and challenges to obtain services and commodities at locations across Japan
  • Military service contract requirements and upcoming service contract solicitation expectations
  • Installations’ design & construction program requiring architect, engineering, and construction services and skills
  • Panel discussions to address common concerns with disaster response contracting, US-Japanese bilateral challenges, and other engineering issues
