SAME Camps Recap 2025

This summer, 265 students and 157 mentors, staff and volunteers came together at five U.S. military bases to explore the exciting world of STEM engineering & construction:

• Vicksburg, MS – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
• Camp Lejeune, NC – U.S. Marine Corps Base
• Port Hueneme, CA – U.S. Naval Construction Battalion Center
• Jacksonville, FL – U.S. Naval Air Station
• Colorado Springs, CO – U.S. Air Force Academy

Hands-On Learning, Real-World Impact

From building concrete beams and dog kennels to flying drones and piloting underwater vehicles, students immersed themselves in engineering challenges. Students conducted experiments, used survey equipment, and even raced boats made of cardboard—learning by doing and having a blast!
