About the Webinar

Are you interested in learning about national leadership opportunities in SAME? Have you ever wondered how to step up and volunteer to take on a position at the national level? It’s easier than you think and yes, you do have what it takes! This webinar will shed light on responsibilities, expectations, and nomination process for the many incredible leadership opportunities across the Society, including President, Vice President, Elected Director, Regional Vice President, Community of Interest Chairs, and other key SAME national positions on the SAME Board of Direction. It is intended for individuals looking for opportunities outside the Post, or Post Leaders and Mentors helping someone map out their SAME career.

This webinar also can be a helpful primer for members interested in submitting a nomination for National Officer or Elected Director (open from Oct. 1 – Dec. 1, 2024).

Presenter: Damon Hacker, President

Damon Hacker brings more than 30 years of experience in digital forensics and cybersecurity. He helps improve the techniques, processes, and technology used in cybersecurity and digital forensics within the legal process. Damon is an in-demand speaker on local, state, and national levels, frequently presenting on DoD CMMC cybersecurity compliance, IT security, IT auditing, computer fraud, white-collar crime, data breaches, non-competes, and intellectual property theft. He also consults on cybersecurity and forensics for the television industry, having provided guidance for The Blacklist, Bones, CSI: Cyber, CSI: Las Vegas, and Backstrom. Damon earned his Master of Business Administration from the Weatherhead School of Management and is a Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification – Registered Practitioner (CMMC-RP).
