About the Webinar

This webinar will first discuss the unique aspects of performance-based designs when considering procurement of thermal remediation services. Next, we will discuss how to evaluate criteria when selecting performance objectives, i.e., “ how do you define success?” Results from recent In Situ Thermal Remediation (ISTR) case studies at Federally led sites will be shared.

These case studies will:

  • Demonstrate common data gaps and changes to the conceptual site model that are critical to ISTR design
  • Provide examples of Pre-Remediation Investigations
  • Tie pre-remedial investigation outcomes to changes in the ISTR design approach
  • Present examples of combined heating technologies, when and why they were needed
  • Provide examples of how performance objectives and “lines of evidence” were used to evaluate success and system shutdown
