On June 22nd, the USS Hornet – Sea, Air, and Space Museum in Alameda will be hosting Family Day. Bring the family and join us for a tour of one of the most unique museums in the nation, and stay for a SAME – San Francisco Post hosted “Picnic in the Park” afterwards.
Come along as we explore an Essex-class aircraft carrier hosting a variety of exhibits centered around STEM activities and topics. Explore the flight deck, Island superstructure, hangars, various holds and lounges, Sickbay, and Engine Room with us, but be forewarned… Any misbehaving tourists will be shown the Brig! Okay, so everyone will get to tour the Brig… You know what we mean…
Following our guided group tour, our San Francisco Post will be hosting a picnic lunch in the park nearby and serving up a selection of gourmet sausages (and vegetarian options) along with additional picnic faire. Meal tickets for adults are $30 each, and meals for children and youths (17 and under) will be provided at no cost.
