The 2025 SAME Nomination and Application Season is Officially Open
2025 is right around the corner, and with the new year is another chance to get involved with the best that SAME has to offer and to make an impact on the Society and the A/E/C industry. Nominations for SAME’s National Leadership, National Awards and Medals, and the Leader Development Program are just a few of the ways you can deepen your engagement with SAME and make a real difference in your personal and professional development.
Plus, SAME’s Engineering & Construction Camps, one of the most popular and anticipated programs the Society sponsors every summer, will begin accepting applications for the 2025 season.

SAME National Leadership Nominations
Nominations for SAME President-Elect, National Vice President, and Elected Director are open beginning Oct. 1, 2024. The deadline to submit a nomination, or self-nominate, is Dec. 1, 2024.
A webinar detailing the different board positions and steps to apply will be held on October 3, 2024.
SAME President Sharon Krock recently issued her President’s Guidance that underscores the types of leaders the Society is looking for, as we move ahead toward implementing the 2030 SAME Strategic Plan in January and beyond.
SAME National Awards and Medals Nominations
SAME annually presents medals and awards to individuals and organizations from the public and private sectors in recognition of achievement in support of the A/E/C profession, national security objectives, and the SAME Strategic Plan.
Nominations for the National awards will be open December 1. The winners will be recognized during the 2025 JETC in Louisville, Ky. (May 13-15).
SAME Small Business Awards Nominations
Awards will be presented at SAME’s 2024 Federal Small Business Conference, November 20, in New Orleans, La. Submissions close October 10 for nominations for Small Business Award, Large Business Award, Industry SB Advocate Award and PSBLO Award.
SAME Leader Development Program Applications
Applications for the 2025-2026 SAME Leader Development Program are now open. The deadline to apply is December 1, 2024.
The Leader Development Program helps cultivate leadership talent from within the Society to develop leaders for the future of the A/E/C community. Selected participants will begin their year-long training at the 2025 JETC next May.
SAME’s Engineering & Construction Camps Applications
SAME’s STEM/Engineering & Construction Camps offer high school students interested in a highly unique STEM experience the chance to spend a week at a military base learning engineering, construction and design, while developing leadership skills and discovering the potential of a career in STEM.
Applications for the 2025 season will be open December 1.
