
Community Mission
The mission of the SAME Architectural Practice Community of Interest (COI) is to promote architectural practice within SAME, broaden the organization’s exposure in the architectural community, increase the role of architecture within military/federal facilities, and recruit more architects, along with expanding networking and mentoring opportunities.

- Enhance the Role of Architecture: Strengthen the role of architecture in military and federal facility design, construction, and management to improve functionality and sustainability.
- Foster Professional Development: Provide educational resources and professional development opportunities to support architects in their careers and within the SAME network.
- Promote Collaboration: Encourage collaboration between architects, engineers, and other professionals to create integrated solutions for facility challenges.
- Expand Networking Opportunities: Facilitate networking events, mentorship programs, and other forums to help architects build connections within SAME and the broader architectural community.
- Advocate for Architectural Practices: Raise awareness and advocate for the importance of architectural contributions in military and federal projects.
- Support Recruitment of Architects: Actively recruit architects to join SAME, contributing to the growth and diversity of expertise within the organization.
